3 Amazon Flex Vehicle Tips

As an Amazon Flex driver, your vehicle is not only your mode of transportation but also your livelihood. So, it’s crucial to keep it in top condition to ensure the smooth and efficient deliveries. And here are 3 tips how I’ve got 327,000 miles out of my 2013 Honda Accord:

1️⃣ Make sure oil changes are done on-time. Never prolong or skip an oil change. Regularly scheduled oil changes are crucial for prolonging the life of your vehicle used for deliveries. Oil plays a vital role in lubricating the engine components and reducing friction, preventing excessive wear and tear. This is especially crucial when driving long distances in extreme weather conditions during your Amazon Flex deliveries.

Regularly scheduled oil changes not only extend the life of your engine but also helps maintain optimal fuel efficiency, reducing the risk of costly repairs and improving your overall vehicle performance. Maintaining a consistent maintenance schedule will help prevent breakdowns and ensure your vehicle is running at its best.

2️⃣ Keep tabs on important fluids, like coolant, brake, and transmission fluid, and change when necessary. Proper brake maintenance is crucial for the safety of both you and your vehicle. Squeaking or grinding noises when braking are signs that your brake pads may need attention. Pay attention to any changes in performance and replace them as needed.

Additionally, don’t forget to check the fluid levels regularly, including coolant, brake fluid, and transmission fluid. Keeping these fluids topped off will help your vehicle perform optimally and reduce the risk of mechanical issues. Immediately seek a mechanic if you notice any fluid leaks to prolong the life of your vehicle.

3️⃣ Pay attention to your tires. Being on the road as a delivery driver means your tires are at risk for road hazards. Check tire pressure regularly and make sure they are properly inflated. Underinflated tires can affect fuel efficiency and handling, while overinflated tires can lead to premature wear.

It’s also important to inspect the tire tread regularly. Worn-out or bald tires can compromise your vehicle’s grip on the road, espcecially in wet or slippery conditions. Replace tires when necessary to maintain traction and ensure your safety while delivering packages.

Investing in regular vehicle maintenance ensures the longevity and reliability of your vehicle for Amazon Flex deliveries. And by following these tips, you can keep your vehicle in top condition and minimize risk of breakdowns.
