Best Times to Deliver Amazon Flex Packages

Early morning is the easiest time of day to deliver packages for Amazon Flex. And I’m referring to early, early morning - like 3:30 to 4:00am start time. Delivering in the early morning provides a smooth and efficient experience on the road, allowing the completion of the Amazon Flex route with ease.

There are essentially zero traffic issues this early in the morning. Highways and interstates have minimal traffic. Hardly any vehicles at traffic lights. Neighborhoods are very quiet and feel like a ghost town. And you don’t have to worry about getting caught behind school busses. In other words, congestion is non-existent during these early morning hours.

This is especially true if you deliver to a busy city where traffic can get congested later in the morning during rush hour. So, by starting your deliveries earlier in the morning, you can beat the rush hour traffic and complete your route more quickly.

Several benefits of delivering packages during early morning hours:

  • Less Traffic

  • Faster Deliveries

  • Easy Parking

  • Improved Work-Life Balance

  • More efficient delivering experience

Late evening deliveries can also be advantageous, since evening rush hour is also over. However, I am not a huge fan of evening deliveries because a lot of issues can arise on route. And any major issues would put you significantly behind very late into the night. Furthermore, a lot of late evening deliveries are “troubled” packages out for redelivery that were returned earlier that day.

Overall, delivering during the early morning hours provides a smoother and more efficient delivering experience. And choosing the right time of day to deliver an Amazon Flex block can greatly impact your efficiency and earnings. I would suggest experimenting with different time slots to find out what works best for you and your schedule.
