How MUCH Money I MAKE in 8 Hours with Amazon Flex

The amount of money Amazon Flex drivers earn per day delivering packages can vary on several factors. On average, drivers can expect to earn between $18 to $25 per hour. However, it’s important to note that this is not a fixed rate and can fluctuate based on various factors such as location, time of day, seasonality, and demand.

One key factor that influences earnings is the location in which drivers operate. Different areas may have varying delivery demands and rates, which can impact the amount of money drivers can earn. Drivers in densely populated urban areas may have more delivery demand and opportunities and potentially higher earnings compared to those in rural or less populated areas.

The time of day also plays a role in driver earnings. Peak warehouse delivery times, such as early mornings and late nights, can have a higher demand, resulting in more available delivery blocks and increased earnings potential. Drivers who are able to work during these peak periods may have the opportunity to earn more per hour.

For example, I’ve learned over the years when my warehouse is most likely to release surge blocks, which is typically early mornings, mid-day, and late evenings. Also, it’s important to know when it’s the best time to tap for these surge blocks with the least amount of competition. Which is usually very early in the morning - roughly 2-4am. These small advantages help me avoid base pay and maximize my overall earnings.

👉 And this is how much money I make if I work 8 an hour day with Amazon Flex:

I wake up around 3am and start hunting for surges, snagging a 5-hour block around $140. That leaves me with 3 hours left to work, so I usually tap for a 3-hour surge block around $85. Averaging about $225 per 8-hour worked, or approximately $28 per hour before expenses.

It’s important to note that Amazon Flex drivers have the flexibility to choose their own working hours and the number of deliveries they want to accept each day. This means that drivers have control over their earnings and can work as much or as little as they prefer. So, your daily average earnings may vary greatly from my earnings. Overall, Amazon Flex offers competitive income while enjoying the benefits of a flexible schedule.
