3 Ways To Make More Money With Amazon Flex

As an Amazon Flex driver, there are several ways to increase your earnings. And here are 3 strategies how I make more money with Amazon Flex:

1️⃣ Focus on scheduling blocks that surge in price. Surge pricing occurs when there is high demand for deliveries at an Amazon warehouse but not enough scheduled drivers, leading to increased rates. By strategically choosing blocks that surge in price, you can significantly boot your earnings. But you must be open to work during these high-demand periods.

Constantly monitor the Amazon Flex app to identify specific times where delivery blocks surge in price. By being attentive and proactive, you can snag these surged-price blocks before other drivers. But you need to be flexible with your work availability to take advantage of surge pricing. By adjusting your schedule to align with surge pricing, you can increase your chances of securing surge-priced blocks and maximize your earnings.

2️⃣ Working early morning blocks can be very lucrative because they’re considered less-desirable blocks to work. And I’m referring to early, early morning blocks that start as early as 3:30am at my local warehouse. Let’s face it, for the majority of us, mornings aren’t our favorite time of day. Creating less competition between drivers for 3 to 5am blocks, guaranteeing them to surge in price almost every day.

Early morning is also a great time to deliver packages because you can avoid rush hour traffic. This means you can complete deliveries more efficiently and spend less time stuck in congested areas, allowing you to complete more deliveries in a shorter amount of time. In other words, you can also maximize your earnings by completing your deliveries well before the block’s finish time.

3️⃣ Delivering packages during inclement weather events - such as a rainy or snowy day, can be a great opportunity to make more money with Amazon Flex. Drivers are less likely to want to work during inclement weather. This creates a surge in demand, making it an ideal time to snag a surge-priced block. By being available during bad weather, you can take advantage of the increased demand and maximize your earnings.

Remember, your earnings as an Amazon Flex driver can vary based on factors such as location, demand, and personal performance. It’s important to stay proactive, flexible, and continuously seek opportunities to optimize your earnings.
