Roadie Driver App | How it Works & What to Expect

Roadie is a unique delivery service that connects senders with drivers. And Roadie provides great opportunities for delivery drivers to earn extra money between other gig work. Or a full-time worker looking for a quick side hustle. Roadie works by matching your bid for the gig against other available delivery drivers in the same area.

That’s where Roadie is different than other delivery apps like Amazon Flex or DoorDash - where delivery offers are presented to each driver individually, and it’s first come first serve basis. With Roadie, however, there’s a pool of delivery drivers bidding for the same gig. And then it’s up to Roadie to match the gig offer with the driver.

And most of these delivery opportunities available on the Roadie app are short gigs. So, you can accept short jobs that fit your available time and schedule and start earning money asap. However, there are a few delivery gig offers that are time-consuming. Like lost luggage delivery pickup at the airport and delivering it to the customer that lives far away. Or batch orders at Walmart or Best Buy that take an hour or so to complete all the deliveries.

Some benefits of delivering for Roadie:

  • Flexible Schedule - you can choose when and where you want to work. You can request only the delivery jobs that fit your schedule and availability. Allowing you to earn money on your own terms. This flexibility is especially beneficial for those working a full-time job or other gig apps.

  • Variety of Delivery Jobs - Roadie offers a wide range of delivery jobs, including small packages, large items, and even pets. This variety allows you to choose the types of deliveries that suit your preferences and vehicle capabilities. Whether you prefer short local gigs or longer out-of-town drives, Roadie has options for you.

  • Earn Money While Traveling - Roadie allows you to earn money while you’re already on the road. You can pick up and deliver items that are along your planned route. Making efficient use of travel time because you’re already headed in that direction. This can be a great way to offset the cost of your travel. For example, after delivering my Amazon Flex route, I will try and find Roadie gigs that are heading toward my home. Which would have just been dead miles anyway. It’s awesome to earn money while heading toward your planned destination.

  • Additional Income - Roadie provides an opportunity to earn additional income beyond your regular full-time job or other gig work. So, whether you’re looking for a part-time side hustle or you’re a full-time gig worker and just want to add Roadie to your Gig App Portfolio; Roadie allows you to earn money based on your availability and willingness to accept delivery jobs.

These benefits make Roadie an attractive option for delivery drivers who value flexibility, convenience, and quick earning potential. I would definitely recommend all delivery drivers add Roadie to their Gig Portfolio. And use it to grab quick, easy work during slow times when working rideshare or DoorDash. Or to earn money while you’re already on the road heading to your planned destination.
